Valid photo ID includes:

  • Australian driver’s licence
  • Australian Government issued Proof of Age Card
  • Passport (if you do not have a driver’s licence or Proof of Age Card).

If you need help to get a valid photo ID in SA visit: SA.GOV.AU - Apply for a proof of age card

ID Scan

ID Scan is an App developed by the SA Government to assist licensees to comply with liquor restrictions. ID Scan records each purchase a customer makes of restricted items of liquor and enforces daily purchase limits. The App also identifies if a person is not permitted to buy takeaway alcohol because they live in a community where alcohol is prohibited.

ID Scan securely stores a customer’s purchase history for 24 hours for the purpose of enforcing daily limits. Licensees do not have access to the customer’s personal information.

For further information see ID Scan information for the public.
