Northern Adelaide builder's licence cancelled

South Australia’s consumer watchdog has cancelled the builders licence for Mawson Lakes based building company Softec Homes.

The Federal Court this week ordered that the business be wound up and a liquidator appointed.

Commissioner for Consumer Affairs Dini Soulio said the liquidator had since surrendered the company’s building licence at the request of Consumer and Business Services.

He said CBS was working to determine how many consumers have been affected by the liquidation, and was urging any consumers with current builds involving Softec to contact CBS on 131 882.
